Terms of Service
Last updated: July 31, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the XFrame Live Android application and the website xframelive.com (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using XFrame Live, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who we are
XFrame Live is operated for the XFrame Live project. Contact: support@xframelive.com.
2. The Service
XFrame Live is a mobile tool that helps you capture camera and microphone input on your Android device and send a live stream to destinations you choose (for example Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or a custom RTMP/RTMPS endpoint). Features may include:
- Single or multistream publishing;
- Dual-camera / picture-in-picture (device-dependent);
- Live chat overlays (where platform APIs allow);
- Stream overlays you compose yourself — static text, scrolling text, and browser sources that load a web address you provide;
- Local recording to your device;
- Background capture while a live session or recording is active;
- On-device AI Denoise (Pro);
- Paid Pro upgrades via Google Play.
We do not host your live stream on XFrame Live servers. Your stream is sent to the platforms or RTMP servers you configure.
The Service is available on Google Play. Features, pricing, and availability can change.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
You must also meet each destination platform’s age and eligibility rules (for example YouTube or Twitch live-streaming requirements).
4. Accounts & third-party platforms
XFrame Live does not require its own user account. If you connect third-party services (Twitch, Kick, YouTube / Google) or paste RTMP credentials, you are responsible for:
- keeping stream keys, tokens, and passwords confidential;
- complying with each platform’s terms, community guidelines, copyright rules, and live streaming policies;
- obtaining all rights, licenses, releases, and permissions needed for the content you stream or record (music, logos, people on camera, etc.);
- any fees, strikes, bans, or takedowns imposed by those platforms.
Your relationship with Google Play, Twitch, Kick, YouTube, or any other destination is separate from these Terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- violate any law or regulation;
- infringe copyrights, trademarks, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- stream or record unlawful, exploitative, harassing, hateful, or otherwise prohibited content under applicable law or platform rules;
- attempt to reverse engineer, abuse, overload, or disrupt the Service except as allowed by mandatory law;
- misuse another person’s stream keys, accounts, or devices without permission;
- bypass technical limits, billing, or Pro entitlement checks except as we expressly allow (for example a valid promo).
We may suspend access to paid features or stop supporting the App if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms.
6. Purchases, subscriptions & Pro
Some features require Pro, which may be sold as:
- an auto-renewing monthly subscription;
- an auto-renewing half-year (6-month) subscription;
- an auto-renewing yearly subscription;
and may include a free-trial offer configured in Google Play. Prices shown in the App / Play Store control; currency and taxes follow Google Play. Payments, renewals, billing issues, cancellations, and refunds for Play purchases are handled by Google under Google Play’s terms and refund policies. Manage subscriptions in Google Play → Subscriptions.
Pro is tied to the Google account that bought it. Promo codes or tester rewards, if offered, may have additional conditions and can be revoked for abuse.
6.1 Price and plan changes
We may change Pro prices, add or retire plans and billing periods, and start or end promotional offers at any time. Regional pricing, currency, and taxes are set through Google Play and can change with it.
A price change never affects a billing period you have already paid for. If the price of a subscription you hold changes, it applies only to future renewals, and Google Play will notify you beforehand — in the cases Google requires it, the increase does not take effect for you unless you accept it. You can always cancel before your next renewal in Google Play → Subscriptions.
If we stop selling a plan, we will honor subscriptions already purchased on that plan for as long as they remain valid under Google Play. We may also change what the Free tier includes, or which features require Pro, as the App evolves.
7. Overlays & browser sources
Overlays are composed by you and rendered on your device into the video you send out. A browser source loads a web address you choose (for example an alert or widget page from a service you already use) inside the App and draws it over your stream. We do not host, review, moderate, or control that content.
You are responsible for:
- the text, images, animations, fonts, and web pages you place on your stream, and for holding the rights or licenses to use them;
- the third-party sites your browser sources load, and for complying with those sites’ own terms;
- keeping widget URLs private where they act like secrets — an overlay URL can grant anyone who has it access to that widget.
8. AI Denoise
AI Denoise (when available and unlocked) processes microphone audio on your device to reduce noise before encoding. It is provided “as is.” Results vary by device, mic, and environment. You remain responsible for your outgoing audio and for complying with platform rules. See the Privacy Policy for how audio is handled.
9. Local recordings & background capture
If you enable local recording, files are created on your device. You are responsible for storing, sharing, deleting, and licensing those files.
While you are live or recording, the App may keep camera/microphone capture active in the background (with an Android foreground notification) so the stream does not freeze. You are responsible for complying with local laws about recording audio/video and about camera use in private spaces. Stop the stream/recording when you no longer intend to capture.
10. Device & platform limitations
Dual camera, zoom lenses, wireless mics, AI Denoise performance, and maximum resolution/FPS depend on hardware, OEM restrictions, OS version, and network conditions. We do not guarantee compatibility with every Android device or that third-party platforms will accept, keep, or archive your stream.
11. Privacy
How information is handled is described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you acknowledge that policy.
12. Intellectual property
The App, website, name, branding, and related materials are owned by the XFrame Live project or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you. You retain rights in the content you create and stream, subject to platform rules and applicable law.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE UNINTERRUPTED STREAMING, PERFECT AUDIO/VIDEO QUALITY, OR THAT THIRD-PARTY SERVICES WILL REMAIN AVAILABLE.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimer language; in those places, the disclaimer applies to the maximum extent allowed.
14. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, XFRAME LIVE AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, LOST GOODWILL, OR STREAM DOWNTIME, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE THROUGH GOOGLE PLAY IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR ZERO IF YOU USED ONLY FREE FEATURES), EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE LIMITED UNDER MANDATORY LAW (INCLUDING CERTAIN CONSUMER RIGHTS IN THE EEA/UK).
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend and hold harmless the XFrame Live project and its operators from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your streams or recordings, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or third-party platform rules — to the extent permitted by law.
16. Changes & termination
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms. We may suspend or discontinue parts of the Service. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Provisions that by nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and indemnity) will survive.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s primary place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise (including non-excludable rights for consumers in the EEA/UK).
